YES! Spring is here at long last!
Each day we are greeted with a new bloom, emerging leaf, and the birds singing the praises of warmer mornings. I don't know about you, but I find this the of year amazingly inspiring!
I am eager to create and try new mediums, methods, and techniques.
I will be in the studio (when am not out in the garden) doing just that, creating!
Below I have posted some of the classes (and more coming) that I will be hosting at
my home teaching studio this spring and summer. Come join me-sharing is just as inspiring, to me,
as the new growth spiraling around us.
Happy Spring!

· Construct/Deconstruct Mixed Media and Collage Workshop-
2 days: May 8 and 9, 2026 10:00am to 3:00pm
I will introduce you to pastes and mediums, found bits of ephemera and papers, ripped books, vintage images, along with ink and paint, etc.
These techniques will assist in creating a variety of collage expressions. From the trepidation of where to begin to the excitement of letting things flow, you’ll come to see the common thread in the bits and pieces you’ve collected. You’ll discover new ways to think about arranging these 'bits' in your work as you express yourself with compositional strategies and a few new ways of approaching composition. I will also
share how to create image transfers.
Explore the world of Deconstruction/Reconstruction Mixed Media art with Expressionistic Experiments with paper. Materials provided
(except a small bottle of matt gel medium),
but I will give suggestions on items you may want to bring to personalize your work. $240.
· Shreds and Daily Discards-Recycling Everyday Items
May 14, 21, 28, 2026 - 3 Thursdays - 10 am-1pm
This class will explore mark making, form, shapes, patterns and textures we see around us in daily life in the urban environment - the traces of human existence - sometimes purposeful, sometimes accidental. We will use a variety of printmaking methods, stenciling, and paint to apply
color and pattern to discarded cardboard packaging and other typically discarded materials before tearing or cutting them up and reassembling them into abstract compositions. Your new work will also explore how discarded materials can be used to create something new and beautiful. Come explore this alternative means of applying marks and color to your ‘daily discards’ and become playful and less precious the approach.
You may decide to work on more outside of class and that’s perfect, if not, that is ok too. $225.00 Contact me for a materials list and to register
